On 4 November 2025, the official founding meeting of ProCurand was held in Eberswalde. Residential community Residenz Nordend took place. Both those who had already moved in and the future members of the shared flat were invited, accompanied by relatives and supporters. After a warm welcome, the structure and organisation of the new form of housing was discussed together. Those present unanimously decided that the shared flat would be officially founded on 4 November 2025.
The discussions centred on the clear desire of all participants to live as independently and self-determinedly as possible, with support where it is needed, but always on their own responsibility, and the active and committed participation of all those present was particularly pleasing. In an open atmosphere, many ideas, suggestions and proposals were exchanged on how future coexistence can be organised.
The formal foundations have now been laid with the election of a board of directors and a flat-sharing community spokesperson as well as the adoption of a flat-sharing community agreement. The Residenz Nordend residential community can now enter its next phase: everyday life together, in which self-determination, mutual support and joie de vivre set the tone.
