Christmas café in the Havelpalais

19.12.2025

The Café Havelterrasse in ProCurand Havelpalais retirement home was decorated for Christmas with a lot of love. It smelled of mulled wine everywhere. There was delicious apple strudel with cream and vanilla sauce, as well as coffee and mulled wine. The typical colourful plate with domino chocolates, stollen, and speculaas biscuits was also not to be missed. Father Christmas, alias Head of Operations Enrico Hennig, welcomed the residents from the assisted living apartments and the residents of Living Area One. Tenor Giancarlo Ruggieri performed Christmas melodies, creating a contemplative atmosphere and causing a few tears of emotion. Sonja, his wife, assisted him as the announcer, dressed as 'Frau Holle' (a German fairy tale character). Our residents sang or hummed along to the well-known Christmas carols. All guests received a small gnome as a gift. The special feature: its nose lit up brightly when switched on. It was a successful and lovely afternoon!
