Musical entertainment was recently provided by Dirk Jüttner, the rock ’n’ roller from Berlin, during his visit to the Havelpalais retirement home in Potsdam. The musician has since become a welcome regular guest there, thrilling audiences every year with plenty of energy, good humour and his unmistakable hip swing.
With German and English songs from the 50s and 60s, Dirk Jüttner took the residents on a musical journey through time. Between the songs, he shared stories and interesting facts about the music with a great deal of humour. Additional variety was provided by his various jackets, which he changed several times during the performance.
A special moment occurred when Christian Seidel from the Lifestyle team, together with Dirk Jüttner, struck up a few bars of Elvis Presley's „Love Me Tender“. The spontaneous duet went down particularly well with the audience.
„Dirk brings so much energy and good spirits every year that simply nobody stays sitting still,“ reports the team at the Havelpalais care home.
To cap it all off, the residents were able to get an autograph from Dirk Jüttner. And a reunion is already planned: next year, the rock ’n’ roller is set to visit the Havelpalais once again.
