At 32 degrees, under a blue sky and with a summery atmosphere, the residents of Cottbus retirement home their summer festival together. Music, culinary treats and a varied programme ensured an entertaining afternoon.
Providing musical accompaniment, the duo Reini & Co. were guest performers and presented well-known schlager hits from several decades. Refreshments were also provided: alongside strawberry cake and ice cream sundaes with cream, there was homemade potato salad, which the residents had prepared together the day before. A refreshing lemon summer punch offered suitable cooling in the high temperatures.
Monika Schröter from administration provided a particularly entertaining moment. With an inflatable guitar, she spontaneously played a short solo, bringing a smile to the guests' faces. ProCurand Managing Director Eileen Philipp also attended the summer party as a guest of honour.
„Residents enjoyed the warm atmosphere, shared conversations and a varied programme,“ reports care home manager Daniela Landsberg. „This celebration once again made it palpable how much cohesion and zest for life there is in our community.“
Thus, despite the high temperatures, the summer party at the Cottbus retirement home offered many opportunities for encounters, joint activities, and musical entertainment.
