Despite summer temperatures, in the Senior Residence Wriezener Straße celebrated exuberantly in Strausberg. Following the welcome by facility manager Swenia Balzer, Mandy Hegert, head of outpatient care, and Nadine Fügemann, head of day care, a varied afternoon began.
Remmi von Demmi provided musical entertainment and a great atmosphere. The residents sang and swayed along, and enjoyed the shared programme.
A special item on the programme was „seated dancing“ with the deputy head of the facility, Stefanie Duspiva. Through music and various movements, she encouraged the residents to join in and showed how movement can be integrated into everyday life even while sitting.
As a finale, there was one more surprise in store: the Strausberg fanfaronade marched into the courtyard of the retirement home and delighted everyone with their musical performance.
„The excitement about the bugle band was immense, our residents are still talking enthusiastically about this performance,“ reports the team at the Wriezener Straße care home.
The summer festival offered residents a varied afternoon of music, movement and many opportunities to celebrate together.
