Under the motto „Summer, sunshine and the hat looks good on me“, residents and staff of the Senior citizens' residence Am Straussee held their annual summer festival together in Strausberg.
In the best summer weather, Alf Weiß provided the musical accompaniment. Well-known tunes invited people to sing along, sway and dance. Fittingly for the theme, a wide variety of hats were naturally part of the celebration that day, and even Alf Weiß performed wearing matching headwear.
There was also plenty to offer on the culinary front at the summer party. After a welcoming mango spritz, the menu featured homemade shashlik skewers, meatballs, bratwurst, various salads and pulled pork burgers.
Home manager Janin Tiedemann sums it up when looking back at the culinary offering: „It's making me hungry all over again.“
Along with music and good food, the summer festival offered plenty of opportunity for conversation, dancing and socialising above all. Thus, residents and staff spent a varied summer day together.
